Debossing
Debossing is a printing technique that creates a recessed design or text on a surface, typically paper, leather, or cardstock. This process involves pressing a metal die into the material, leaving an indented impression. It is often used for branding, packaging, and decorative purposes, adding a tactile element to the design.
Unlike embossing, which raises the design above the surface, debossing gives a subtle, sophisticated look. Common applications include business cards, notebooks, and book covers. This technique enhances the visual appeal and can also improve the perceived quality of the product.
