De Havilland Aircraft Company
The De Havilland Aircraft Company was a British aircraft manufacturer founded in 1920 by Sir Geoffrey de Havilland. The company became known for its innovative designs and contributions to aviation, producing notable aircraft such as the DH.98 Mosquito, a versatile twin-engine fighter-bomber used during World War II.
In the post-war era, De Havilland developed commercial aircraft, including the Comet, the world's first commercial jet airliner. The company played a significant role in advancing aviation technology and was eventually absorbed into British Aerospace in 1977, marking the end of its independent operations.
