Day of Arafah
The Day of Arafah is the second day of the Islamic pilgrimage, known as Hajj, and falls on the 9th day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah. It is a significant day for Muslims, as it commemorates the day when the Prophet Muhammad delivered his final sermon. Pilgrims gather at the Plain of Arafah to pray and seek forgiveness, marking the climax of their spiritual journey.
For those not performing Hajj, the Day of Arafah is also important. It is recommended to fast on this day, as it is believed to expiate sins from the previous year and the coming year. The day is a time for reflection, prayer, and gratitude, emphasizing the importance of faith and community in Islam.
