David Livingston
David Livingstone was a Scottish missionary and explorer born on March 19, 1813. He is best known for his extensive travels in Africa, where he sought to spread Christianity and promote trade. Livingstone's explorations helped to map uncharted regions and brought attention to the continent's natural resources.
Livingstone is also famous for his encounters with African cultures and his efforts to combat the slave trade. He is often remembered for his famous quote, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" which was reportedly said by Henry Morton Stanley when he found Livingstone in 1871 after years of searching. Livingstone passed away on May 1, 1873, in Zambia.
