David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Southesk
David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Southesk (1820-1905), was a Scottish nobleman known for his contributions to the arts and his role in the British aristocracy. He succeeded his father, David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk, in 1866 and became a prominent figure in Scottish society.
The 2nd Earl was also a patron of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and supported various cultural initiatives. He was involved in the management of the family estate, Kinnaird Castle, and played a significant role in local affairs throughout his life.
