David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk
David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk (c. 1605–1679), was a Scottish nobleman and politician. He was born into the Carnegie family, which held significant land and influence in Scotland. In 1647, he was created the 1st Earl of Southesk, a title that recognized his status and contributions to Scottish society.
