Danish royal family
The Danish royal family is one of the oldest monarchies in the world, tracing its lineage back over a thousand years. The current monarch is Queen Margrethe II, who ascended the throne in 1972. The royal family plays a significant role in Danish culture and society, participating in various ceremonial and charitable activities.
The family includes the Queen's sons, Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim, along with their respective families. Crown Prince Frederik is the heir apparent and is married to Crown Princess Mary, originally from Australia. Together, they have four children, who are also part of the royal lineage.
