Daniel arap Moi
Daniel arap Moi was a Kenyan politician who served as the President of Kenya from 1978 to 2002. He was born on September 2, 1924, in Baringo County. Moi became the country's second president after the death of Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first president. His leadership was marked by a mix of development initiatives and political repression.
During his presidency, Moi implemented various educational and infrastructural projects, but his government was also criticized for human rights abuses and corruption. After stepping down in 2002, he remained an influential figure in Kenyan politics until his death on February 4, 2020.
