Dame Kelly Holmes
Dame Kelly Holmes is a retired British middle-distance runner, born on April 19, 1970. She is best known for winning two gold medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics in the 800 meters and 1500 meters events. Holmes had a successful athletic career, setting multiple personal bests and competing in various international competitions.
In addition to her Olympic success, Holmes has been an advocate for mental health awareness and sports development. She was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2005 for her services to athletics.
