Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage
The Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage is an annual religious event in Taiwan that honors Mazu, the goddess of the sea and protector of fishermen. This pilgrimage typically takes place in the spring and lasts for about nine days, attracting thousands of devotees who walk alongside the procession. The journey covers approximately 300 kilometers, starting from Dajia Jenn Lann Temple in Taichung and ending at Zhongxing New Village.
During the pilgrimage, participants carry a statue of Mazu and engage in various rituals, including prayers and offerings.
