Daecheong Dam
Daecheong Dam is a large multipurpose dam located on the Geum River in South Korea. Completed in 2002, it serves various functions, including flood control, water supply, and hydroelectric power generation. The dam has a height of 156 meters and a length of 1,400 meters, making it one of the largest dams in the country.
The reservoir created by the dam, known as Daecheong Lake, covers an area of approximately 80 square kilometers. This lake not only provides water for nearby cities but also supports recreational activities such as fishing and boating. The dam plays a crucial role in managing water resources in the region.
