Dacian Mythology
Dacian Mythology refers to the belief system and spiritual practices of the ancient Dacians, a group of tribes that inhabited the region of modern-day Romania and Moldova. Their mythology was influenced by various cultures, including the Thracians and Greeks, and featured a pantheon of gods and goddesses, nature spirits, and ancestral worship.
Central to Dacian beliefs was the god Zalmoxis, who was associated with immortality and the afterlife. The Dacians also revered the sacred mountain Kogaionon, believed to be a dwelling place of the gods. Their myths often emphasized the connection between nature, the cosmos, and human existence.
