DCC
DCC, or Digital Command Control, is a standard for controlling model trains and accessories digitally. It allows multiple trains to operate independently on the same track, using digital signals sent through the rails. This technology enhances the realism of model railroading by enabling features like sound effects and lighting control.
In a DCC system, a command station sends commands to a decoder installed in each locomotive. The decoder interprets these commands and adjusts the train's speed, direction, and functions accordingly. This system simplifies wiring and provides greater flexibility compared to traditional analog control methods.
