DC fast charging
DC fast charging is a technology that allows electric vehicles (EVs) to recharge their batteries quickly. Unlike standard chargers, which use alternating current (AC), DC fast chargers deliver direct current (DC) directly to the vehicle's battery. This enables a much faster charging process, often providing an 80% charge in about 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle and charger specifications.
These charging stations are typically found along highways and in urban areas, making long-distance travel more convenient for EV owners. Many automakers are now designing their vehicles to be compatible with DC fast charging, helping to expand the network of available charging options.
