D.O.
A D.O., or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, is a fully licensed physician who practices medicine with a holistic approach. D.O.s focus on the whole person, considering physical, emotional, and environmental factors in patient care. They receive similar training to M.D.s (Doctors of Medicine) but also complete additional training in the musculoskeletal system and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
D.O.s can specialize in various fields, including family medicine, pediatrics, and surgery. They are qualified to prescribe medication, perform surgeries, and provide comprehensive healthcare. The D.O. degree emphasizes preventive care and the body's ability to heal itself, promoting overall wellness.
