Czech royal family
The Czech royal family refers to the historical ruling families of the Czech lands, primarily the House of Přemysl and the House of Luxembourg. These dynasties played significant roles in shaping the region's history from the 9th century until the end of the monarchy in the early 20th century.
Today, there is no official royal family in the Czech Republic, as it is a parliamentary democracy. However, some descendants of the former nobility, like the House of Habsburg, still hold cultural significance and participate in various ceremonial events, preserving the rich heritage of the Czech monarchy.
