Cygnet
A cygnet is a young swan, typically less than a year old. These birds are known for their fluffy gray or white feathers and are often seen swimming alongside their parents. Cygnet development is closely tied to their environment, as they rely on their parents for protection and food during their early stages of life.
Cygnet growth is a gradual process, and they usually fledge, or develop flight feathers, around 3 to 4 months old. As they mature, they will eventually take on the adult swan's distinctive features, such as the long neck and elegant shape. Adult swans belong to the family Anatidae, which also includes ducks and geese.
