Cuyuna
Cuyuna is a small community located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. It was originally established as a mining town in the early 1900s, primarily for iron ore extraction. The town experienced significant growth during the mining boom but saw a decline after the mines closed in the 1970s.
Today, Cuyuna is known for its outdoor recreational opportunities, particularly in the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area. This area features numerous mountain biking trails and lakes for fishing and swimming, attracting visitors who enjoy nature and outdoor activities.
