Cuba is an island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, south of the United States and east of Mexico. It is the largest island in the Caribbean, covering about 109,884 square kilometers. The country is characterized by its flat terrain, with the Sierra Maestra mountain range in the southeast being the highest point.
Cuba has a tropical climate, with a wet season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. The island is surrounded by several smaller islands and cays, including Isla de la Juventud and the Gardens of the Queen, which are known for their rich biodiversity.
