Crystal Cathedral
The Crystal Cathedral is a large church located in Garden Grove, California. Designed by architect Philip Johnson, it is known for its stunning glass structure, which features over 10,000 panes of glass. The cathedral was completed in 1980 and became famous for its unique design and beautiful reflections of light.
Originally the home of the Hour of Power television program, the Crystal Cathedral served as a center for worship and community events. In 2010, the church filed for bankruptcy and was sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange in 2012, which now uses the building as the Christ Cathedral.
