Crying (Weeping)
Crying, or weeping, is a natural emotional response characterized by the shedding of tears. It often occurs in reaction to feelings such as sadness, frustration, or even joy. The act of crying can serve as a way to express emotions and communicate feelings to others, often eliciting empathy and support.
Tears are produced by the lacrimal glands and can vary in composition depending on the cause of crying. There are three types of tears: basal tears, which keep the eyes moist; reflex tears, which respond to irritants; and emotional tears, which are linked to feelings and stress relief.
