Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn, officially known as Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, is the heir apparent to the Thai throne. Born on July 28, 1952, he is the only son of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. He was educated in both Thailand and the United States, and he has served in the Royal Thai Army.
In December 2016, following the death of his father, Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn was formally proclaimed king, taking the title King Rama X. His reign has focused on maintaining the monarchy's influence in Thailand and addressing various national issues, including economic development and political stability.
