Crown Dependency
A Crown Dependency is a territory that is not part of the United Kingdom but is under the sovereignty of the British monarch. These areas have their own governments and legal systems, allowing them to manage local affairs independently. The three main Crown Dependencies are Jersey, Guernsey, and Isle of Man.
Crown Dependencies are not represented in the UK Parliament, but they rely on the UK for defense and international representation. They have a unique status, which allows them to maintain their own laws and tax systems while still being linked to the British Crown.
