Cromlechs
Cromlechs are ancient stone structures, often associated with burial sites, found primarily in Europe. They typically consist of large upright stones, known as megaliths, arranged in a circular or oval shape. These structures date back to the Neolithic and Bronze Age, serving as important markers for rituals and ceremonies.
One of the most famous examples of a cromlech is Stonehenge in England, which features a unique arrangement of stones. Cromlechs are believed to have held significant cultural and spiritual meaning for the communities that built them, reflecting their beliefs about life, death, and the cosmos.
