Cricket Pitch
A cricket pitch is a rectangular area in the center of a cricket field where most of the action takes place. It measures 22 yards long and 10 feet wide, with a hard surface made of grass or clay. The pitch is crucial for both bowlers and batsmen, as it affects how the ball behaves when bowled.
At each end of the pitch, there are wickets consisting of three vertical stumps topped by two horizontal bails. The pitch is marked with lines, including the bowling crease and the popping crease, which help determine various aspects of the game, such as run-outs and deliveries.
