Craters Cyrillus
Craters Cyrillus is a prominent lunar impact crater located on the surface of the Moon. It is situated in the eastern part of the Mare Tranquillitatis, also known as the Sea of Tranquility. The crater has a diameter of approximately 98 kilometers and features a well-preserved structure with a distinct central peak.
The formation of Craters Cyrillus dates back to the Imbrian period, making it one of the older craters on the Moon. Its walls rise steeply, and the floor is relatively flat, showcasing a variety of geological features. The crater is often studied for insights into lunar history and impact processes.
