Courtroom Procedure
Courtroom procedure refers to the established rules and practices that govern how legal cases are conducted in a court. It typically begins with the judge calling the case, followed by the presentation of evidence and arguments by both the prosecution and the defense. Witnesses may be called to testify, and both sides have the opportunity to cross-examine them.
After all evidence is presented, the judge or jury deliberates to reach a verdict. If the case involves a jury, they will discuss the evidence in private before announcing their decision in open court. Sentencing may follow if the verdict is guilty.
