Court System of Serbia
The Court System of Serbia is structured into several levels, including basic, higher, and appellate courts. Basic courts handle most civil and criminal cases, while higher courts review decisions made by basic courts. The Supreme Court of Cassation serves as the highest court, ensuring uniform application of law across the country.
In addition to regular courts, there are specialized courts, such as commercial and misdemeanor courts, which deal with specific types of cases. The Constitutional Court oversees matters related to the constitutionality of laws and protects human rights within the legal framework of Serbia.
