Costa Concordia
The Costa Concordia was a cruise ship operated by Costa Crociere, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation. Launched in 2006, it was one of the largest ships in the fleet, featuring various amenities such as restaurants, pools, and theaters.
On January 13, 2012, the ship struck a rock off the coast of Giglio, Italy, leading to a tragic capsizing. The incident resulted in the deaths of 32 passengers and crew members, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in recent history. The ship was eventually salvaged and dismantled in 2014.
