Coquille River Lighthouse
The Coquille River Lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Coquille River in Bandon, Oregon. Built in 1896, it was designed to guide ships safely into the river and protect them from the rocky coastline. The lighthouse stands 39 feet tall and features a distinctive white and red color scheme.
The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1939 but remains a popular tourist attraction. It is part of the Bandon State Natural Area, where visitors can enjoy scenic views of the coastline and learn about the history of maritime navigation in the region.
