Copper-Nickel Alloy
Copper-nickel alloy is a metal mixture primarily composed of copper and nickel, typically containing around 70% copper and 30% nickel. This alloy is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for marine applications, such as shipbuilding and offshore structures. It also has good thermal and electrical conductivity, which enhances its usability in various industrial applications.
In addition to its corrosion resistance, copper-nickel alloy exhibits good strength and ductility, allowing it to be easily shaped and formed. It is often used in the production of coins, such as those made by the United States Mint, and in components for naval and aerospace industries due to its durability and reliability.
