Cooch Behar Raj
Cooch Behar Raj was a princely state in India, located in the northeastern part of the country. It was established in the 16th century and was ruled by the Cooch Behar royal family. The state was known for its rich cultural heritage, including unique traditions, festivals, and architecture, such as the Cooch Behar Palace.
The region played a significant role in the history of Bengal and was strategically important due to its location near the borders of West Bengal and Assam. Cooch Behar Raj became a part of India after independence in 1947, eventually merging with the state of West Bengal.
