Connaught Rangers
The Connaught Rangers was an infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1881. It was primarily composed of soldiers from Ireland and served in various conflicts, including both World Wars. The regiment was known for its distinctive green uniform and its motto, "Faugh a Ballagh," which means "Clear the Way" in Irish.
The Connaught Rangers was disbanded in 1922 following the establishment of the Irish Free State.
