Congolese Army
The Congolese Army, officially known as the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC), is the military force of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It was established after the end of the Second Congo War in 2003, unifying various armed groups and factions. The army is responsible for defending the country's sovereignty and maintaining internal security.
The Congolese Army faces numerous challenges, including limited resources, inadequate training, and ongoing conflicts with various militia groups. Despite these issues, it plays a crucial role in peacekeeping efforts and attempts to stabilize regions affected by violence, particularly in the eastern provinces of the DRC.
