Communist Party of Iran
The Communist Party of Iran (CPI) is a political organization that advocates for Marxist-Leninist principles in Iran. Founded in 1983, it emerged from the leftist movements that opposed the Islamic Republic's policies. The party seeks to establish a socialist state and promote workers' rights, social justice, and equality.
The CPI has faced significant challenges, including repression from the Iranian government and internal divisions. Despite these obstacles, it continues to participate in political discourse and collaborate with other leftist groups, such as the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran and various labor unions, to promote its agenda.
