Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada
The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) was a labor union representing workers in various sectors, including communications, energy, and paper industries. Founded in 1992, it aimed to advocate for workers' rights, improve working conditions, and negotiate fair wages for its members across Canada.
In 2013, the CEP merged with the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) to form the Unifor union, which expanded its reach and influence in the labor movement. Unifor continues to represent workers in diverse industries, focusing on social justice, economic equality, and the protection of workers' rights in Canada.
