Common Redshank
The Common Redshank is a medium-sized wading bird found in wetlands across Europe and Asia. It has a distinctive long, straight bill and long, bright red legs, which give it its name. The bird's plumage is mostly brown and speckled, providing effective camouflage in its natural habitat.
These birds are often seen foraging in shallow waters for invertebrates and small fish. During the breeding season, they build nests on the ground, typically in grassy areas. The Common Redshank is known for its loud, distinctive call, which can often be heard during courtship displays.
