Cockades
A cockade is a decorative knot or ribbon worn on a hat or clothing, often used to signify allegiance to a particular group or cause. Traditionally, cockades are made from fabric and can feature various colors and designs, representing different organizations, military units, or political movements. They have been used throughout history, especially during the French Revolution and in military uniforms.
Cockades can also serve as symbols of national pride or identity. For example, the French cockade is a tricolor emblem representing liberty and revolution. Today, cockades are still used in ceremonial attire and by organizations to display unity and purpose.
