Coatis
Coatis are small, raccoon-like mammals found in the forests and grasslands of Central and South America. They have long snouts, sharp claws, and a distinctive ringed tail that they often hold upright. Coatis are social animals, usually seen in groups called bands, which can include up to 30 individuals. They are known for their playful behavior and curiosity, often climbing trees in search of food.
These animals are omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and small animals. Coatis are most active during the day, foraging for food and exploring their surroundings. Their adaptability to different habitats makes them a fascinating part of the ecosystem in which they live.
