Coati
The coati is a medium-sized mammal belonging to the raccoon family, known scientifically as Procyonidae. These animals are native to Central and South America, as well as parts of the southwestern United States. Coatis have long snouts, sharp claws, and a distinctive ringed tail, which they often hold upright while moving. They are social creatures, typically found in groups called bands.
Coatis are omnivorous, feeding on a varied diet that includes fruits, insects, and small animals. They are primarily diurnal, meaning they are active during the day. Their adaptability to different habitats, such as forests and grasslands, contributes to their widespread presence in their native regions.
