Coat of Arms of Russia
The Coat of Arms of Russia features a double-headed eagle, symbolizing the unity of the eastern and western parts of the country. The eagle is depicted in gold, holding a scepter and an orb, representing sovereignty and power. It is adorned with a red shield on its chest, which displays a silver knight on horseback, a symbol of bravery and protection.
The current design was officially adopted in 1993, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The double-headed eagle has historical roots, tracing back to the Byzantine Empire, and has been a significant emblem in Russian heraldry for centuries.
