Clotarius
Clotarius was a king of the Franks who ruled during the early medieval period, specifically from 558 to 561 AD. He was one of the sons of Clovis I, the first king of the Franks, and Clotarius played a significant role in the Merovingian dynasty. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and power struggles among the Frankish kingdoms.
After the death of his brother, Childebert I, Clotarius became the sole ruler of the Frankish territories. His leadership was characterized by attempts to consolidate power and manage the divisions within the kingdom. Clotarius is often remembered for his efforts to maintain unity among the Franks during a time of fragmentation.
