Chlothar II
Chlothar II was a king of the Franks who ruled from 584 to 629 AD. He was a member of the Merovingian dynasty and the son of Chlothar I. His reign is noted for the consolidation of power among the Frankish kingdoms and the establishment of a more centralized government.
During his rule, Chlothar II issued the Edict of Paris in 614, which aimed to reform the administration of the Frankish territories. This edict helped to strengthen royal authority and improve the governance of the realm, setting a precedent for future Frankish kings.
