Clomiphene
Clomiphene is a medication commonly used to treat infertility in women who do not ovulate regularly. It works by stimulating the pituitary gland to release hormones that promote the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries. This can help increase the chances of conception for women trying to become pregnant.
Typically taken as a pill for five days early in the menstrual cycle, Clomiphene is often prescribed after other fertility treatments have not been successful. While it is generally well-tolerated, some women may experience side effects such as hot flashes, mood swings, or headaches.
