Church of Saint Sava
The Church of Saint Sava is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, located in Belgrade, Serbia. It was built on the site where the relics of Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, were believed to have been burned. The church features a stunning dome and intricate mosaics, showcasing a blend of Byzantine and Serbian architectural styles.
Construction of the church began in 1935 and was completed in 1989, although it remains a work in progress. The interior is adorned with beautiful frescoes and icons, making it a significant religious and cultural landmark for the Serbian people.
