Chromophobe Carcinoma
Chromophobe Carcinoma is a type of kidney cancer that originates from the cells of the renal tubules. It is characterized by the presence of large, pale cells that have a distinct appearance under a microscope. This cancer is considered less aggressive than other types of kidney cancer, such as clear cell carcinoma.
Patients with chromophobe carcinoma often experience symptoms like blood in the urine, flank pain, or unexplained weight loss. The prognosis is generally favorable, especially when detected early. Treatment options may include surgery, targeted therapy, or observation, depending on the stage of the disease.
