Christian V
Christian V was a king of Denmark and Norway who reigned from 1670 to 1699. He was born on April 15, 1646, and was the son of Frederick III of Denmark. His reign is noted for efforts to strengthen royal power and promote economic development, including the establishment of new towns and trade routes.
During his rule, Christian V also focused on military reforms and the expansion of the Danish navy. He is known for commissioning the Christian IV's Palace in Copenhagen, which reflects the Baroque architectural style. Christian V died on August 25, 1699, leaving a legacy of cultural and economic growth.
