Christian Humanism
Christian Humanism is a philosophical and cultural movement that combines elements of Christianity with Humanism. It emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, focusing on the importance of individual dignity and moral responsibility. Christian Humanists believe that human potential can be realized through a deep understanding of Christian teachings and the study of classical texts.
This movement emerged during the Renaissance, advocating for a return to the original sources of Christian doctrine and the integration of humanist principles. Prominent figures, such as Desiderius Erasmus, sought to reform the Church and society by promoting education, critical thinking, and ethical living grounded in faith.
