Chris McCandless
Chris McCandless was an American adventurer and the subject of the book "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. Born in 1968, he graduated from Emory University and chose to abandon his possessions and savings to travel across the United States. He sought a deeper connection with nature and a simpler way of life.
In 1992, McCandless ventured into the Alaskan wilderness, where he lived in an abandoned bus. His journey was marked by a desire for self-discovery and independence. Tragically, he died in the bus from starvation, and his story has sparked discussions about adventure, survival, and the quest for meaning.
