Symptoms may include jaundice, abdominal pain, and weight loss, often leading to a late diagnosis.
The exact cause of cholangiocarcinoma is not well understood, but certain risk factors have been identified. These include chronic liver diseases such as primary sclerosing cholangitis, exposure to certain chemicals, and infections like Clonorchis sinensis, a liver fluke. Treatment options may involve surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy, depending on the
